Originating from 2DJGAME, the alias "mikocon" has gained reputation of providing fast, reliable high quality releases.
Our current releases
- Torrent Release in Nyaa and 2DJGAME
- Direct Download Release in Bishoujo.moe Blog (Formerly Orenogalgame Blog), Anime-Sharing and Kiss-Sub
Starting from 2013, we have introduced "Own Bought", where numerous 2DJGAME members provide us with content, that they have purchased from Japan.
In addition, we also have teams of uploaders, CG rippers and other supporting staffs, making us the most elaborated upload group for Japanese ACG content in existence.
As we further expand into the Manga and Doujin scene, our tiny release blog is becoming too messy for us and for people who download from the blog.
Anime-Sharing is plagued with re-posting and the sheer number of duplicated releases are inconvenient to downloaders.
We also want to improve our releases so to provide better user experiences.
We have decided to make use of the forum software that we are most used to, Discuz X2.5.
Discuz X2.5 contains many interesting features that normally is left unused.
We are also actively modding Discuz X2.5 to turn it into a specialized release platform.
Mikocon.com will follow Orenogalgame Blog, focusing on Non-Chinese users.
Most if not all non-Chinese file hosting services are blocked by China's firewall.
Download by Chinese file hosting services will be provided in 2DJGAME.
Why is 2DJGAME / Mikocon doing releases after so many years?
It is a tradition that is passed down from our first generation staffs. We originated from the Japanese section of BTChina.
Our primary objective is to provide the fastest release as reasonably possible.
Our secondary objective is to preserve as much of the Japanese ACG culture as possible.
Why 2DJGAME remains a free-to-download site?
In order to meet our primary and secondary objectives, there are recurring costs including storage upgrades, power and connectivity fees.
This cost is covered partially by donations and partially by our income from Direct Download.
The income is sufficient to maintain the site and archive and there is no need to try to extract money from users.
All our staffs work voluntary. If we attempt to go paid-only, our staffs would be the first one to leave. Without any staffs, we cannot even operate.
There is no way to prevent private releases from going public. With so many uploaders re-posting our releases, trying to go paid-only will just benefit them.
Our expenditure is low given the size of our infrastructure.
Substantial of our income is now used to purchase games from Japan.
